ANA

My name is Ana Jimenez. My family is from Mexico. My mom came to Los Angeles from Mexico in January, 1985, before I was born. The first time I went to Mexico I was 7 months old. I have some pictures of my Grandma and my Grandpa. My Grandmas and my two Grandpas are in Mexico.

Living in Mexico was different because the houses are made of bricks. All of the stores are made out of bricks too. They don't have a front wall like in the United States. My dad, Grandpa, and my uncles built our house together. I like living in Mexico because I get to see my grandmas, grandpas, aunties, uncles, and cousins.

I like Mexico because it is a very nice country. There are a lot of horses, donkeys and a lot of other animals. When I was in Mexico I got to ride on a donkey. It was fun because my brother fell off the donkey and I was laughing. My brother wasn't very happy.

I had a lot of fun in Mexico because I got to see my uncles, aunties, grandmas, grandpas, and cousin. In Mexico in the schools if you don't do what the teacher said the teacher gets a stick and hits the students. In school when it is break time they have to go home and eat. In Mexico they eat a lot of beans.
