It's Not the End of the World

The story, "It's Not the End of the World", by my very favorite author, Judy Blume, is a story about a girl named Karen, whose parents have constant fights and arguments at home until one day, her father moves out of the house…! She then found out that they might get a divorce! Now, Karen is mad. She thinks her world is ending. "I want a mother and a father, and I want them to live together-right here-in this house!" Karen says.

The theme of this book is about a girl and her siblings finally learning how to cope with her parent's divorceI think this is a very fabulous and wonderful book. I would recommend this book to any fifth grader or older. Divorces are very relevant in our society. This book helps us understand how divorces can affect the lives of the children involved.
